The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine has recognized Andriy Levus as the elected People’s Deputy from the European Solidarity party. This decision was made after Denys P’yatigorez declined his parliamentary seat. As a result, Levus has been granted the right to take his seat in the Verkhovna Rada.
This was reported by the press service of the CEC Secretariat.
"On May 26, 2026, the Central Election Commission recognized Denys Pyatigorez as the elected People’s Deputy of Ukraine in the extraordinary elections for People’s Deputies of Ukraine held on July 21, 2019, in the nationwide multi-member electoral district representing the European Solidarity political party. However, within the time limit specified by law, he submitted a statement to the Commission renouncing his parliamentary mandate. Consequently, the CEC recognized Denys Pyatigorts as not having acquired parliamentary powers," the statement reads.
It is noted that the CEC recognized Andriy Levus, the next candidate in line on the electoral list of the "European Solidarity" political party under No. 29, as the elected People’s Deputy of Ukraine in these elections.
To be registered as a People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Andriy Levus must submit the documents specified by election law to the Commission no later than the twentieth day following the official publication of today’s CEC decision. In turn, the CEC shall adopt a corresponding decision no later than the fifth day following their receipt.
