The White Angels evacuated 12 people from the border area of Sumy Oblast
The "White Angels" police unit carried out another evacuation operation in border communities in the Sumy region. Twelve people, including children, were successfully evacuated from dangerous areas. The evacuation took place due to the constant threat of shelling and the complex security situation near the border. Law enforcement officers continue to assist residents who have decided to leave dangerous settlements.
"The police special unit continues to rescue residents of communities under constant threat of enemy attacks. This time, law enforcement officers helped evacuate 12 citizens, including three children," the statement reads.
It is noted that police evacuated ten people from the Buryn community. Among them were two children aged 10 and 14, a two-year-old child, as well as elderly people aged 60 to 80.
Law enforcement officers also transported two more residents, aged 79 and 84, from the Richkiv community to a safer place of residence.
Police officers helped the residents transport their personal belongings via a safe route and provided an escort to their temporary accommodations.
