Businessman Vasyl Vesely was not detained, nor was he notified of any charges — the prosecutor's office
Law enforcement officials conducted investigative actions at the premises of businessman Vasyl Veselyi, who is referred to in the media as the “overseer” of the state-owned “Sens Bank” on behalf of the Office of the President; however, the businessman himself was not detained.
No official charges have been filed against anyone at this time, and the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is ongoing.
“No one was detained as part of the investigative actions, and no one has been notified of suspicion. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing,” the agency officially stated.
According to informed sources in law enforcement agencies, the searches and other measures took place as part of a criminal case concerning the legalization and laundering of property obtained by criminal means.
This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office in a comment to Ukrainska Pravda.
