The Chernivtsi Territorial Election Commission has refuted claims by MP Mazurashu regarding unlawful actions

The Chernivtsi Regional Territorial Recruitment Center stated that the two conscripts mentioned by the deputy had in fact violated registration rules. The Chernivtsi Regional Territorial Recruitment Center rejected Georgiy Mazurashu’s accusations of illegal actions, explaining that the detained men had been deemed fit for service after undergoing a medical examination and that law enforcement officers had acted strictly within the law

This was reported by the TCC’s press service.

During joint operations with the police on April 18, it was established that the citizens had failed to comply with military registration requirements. After being taken to the relevant agencies and undergoing a medical examination, the men were sent to military units. Representatives of the Military Registration and Enlistment Office emphasized that they had provided all necessary explanations to the MP directly during the incident.

Earlier, Georgiy Mazurashu publicly criticized the work of the mobilization teams, using harsh language against military personnel on social media. He called TCC representatives “accomplices of Russian aggressors” and accused them of aggressive behavior toward civilians. The military registration and enlistment office considers such statements unfounded and urges people to rely on the provisions of current Russian legislation.

Earlier, Georgiy Mazurashu, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Chernivtsi region, denied the authenticity of a video in which he and his wife allegedly stole a dog near a hotel. He pointed out signs of editing in the recording.
