The State Bureau of Investigation has clarified which charges have been brought against Bezuhla
The State Bureau of Investigations is conducting a pre-trial investigation into MP Mariana Bezuhla regarding allegations of treason, disclosure of state secrets, disclosure of military secrets, and interference in the activities of a public official.
This was reported by the bureau in response to a request from Censor.NET.
The proceedings were initiated by order of the Prosecutor General in accordance with rulings by the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv following appeals from the MP and a civil society organization. Investigators are reviewing the MP’s Facebook posts for information constituting state secrets and analyzing her potential unlawful influence on colleagues through the media.
Law enforcement officials are also examining Bezuhla’s involvement in disseminating claims that create news hooks for Russian propaganda and reinforce its narratives. A separate aspect of the investigation concerns the possible disclosure of classified information that became known to the MP while she served as chair of the Temporary Investigative Commission on the “Wagner Group” case. Currently, the Office of the Prosecutor General is overseeing the proceedings, and details of the case are not being disclosed in accordance with the law. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the alleged offenses committed under martial law.
Earlier, it was reported that law enforcement agencies had launched an investigation into possible criminal offenses by MP Mariana Bezuhla.
MP Fedir Venislavskyi stated that law enforcement agencies should assess the actions of MP Mariana Bezuhla regarding the possible disclosure of confidential information and the discrediting of military leadership.
