The State Bureau of Investigation uncovered a scheme to delete data from the registry of persons subject to military service at the Kyiv City Military Registration and Enlistment Office
The State Bureau of Investigations has reported the initial results of Operation “Honest Draft.”
Law enforcement officials uncovered a scheme at one of the capital’s territorial recruitment centers to illegally delete data on military registration violations in exchange for bribes.
According to the investigation, the scheme was organized by a man and his partner, who had previously worked as an operator at the recruitment center. They enlisted a current employee of the center, who used his official access to unlawfully alter information in the state registry.
Fixed rates were set for these “services”: $2,500 to remove information about military registration violations for enlisted personnel and non-commissioned officers, $3,000 for officers, and $1,700 for arranging a military medical examination without the risk of mobilization.
Law enforcement officials have already documented 18 instances of illegal alterations to the registry following the receipt of bribes. The TCC operator has been notified of the charges against him and faces up to six years in prison. Investigators are identifying others involved in the scheme.

As a reminder, law enforcement officials in the Odesa region exposed the organizer of an illegal scheme to smuggle conscripts abroad. According to police, 147 men were attempted to be smuggled out of the country under the guise of sailors.
The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police have uncovered nine new schemes to evade mobilization in various regions of the country. As part of special operations, 23 organizers of these schemes were detained; for a fee, they helped men subject to military service avoid conscription or illegally leave the country.
