The director of a private company will stand trial for bid-rigging in a tender by the State Forestry Agency of Ukraine
A director of a private company is set to stand trial in Kyiv on charges of fraud and forgery in the course of supplying equipment to the state-owned enterprise "Lisy Ukrainy."
This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, in 2023, following a public procurement process, the state-owned enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” entered into a contract with a private company for the supply of 11 tractors.
Prosecutors established that to win the tender, the supplier included false information in the technical documentation, as the tractors imported from China did not meet the procurement requirements.
According to expert findings, the supply of equipment whose specifications did not meet the tender conditions caused losses to the state enterprise amounting to over 1.6 million UAH.
The indictment against the company’s director has already been sent to court. He is charged with fraud on an especially large scale and official forgery.
Earlier, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine neutralized a Russian agent who was preparing to blow up an administrative building of one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Zhytomyr.
