An official delegation from the Philippine Department of Defense has arrived in Ukraine for the first time
On July 24, talks were held at the Office of the President of Ukraine with a delegation from the Philippine Department of Defense. The visit marked the first time in the history of bilateral relations that an official delegation from the Philippine Department of Defense had arrived in Ukraine.
The delegation was led by Salvador Mison, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Philippines.
The Office of the President clarified that the delegation’s visit is a continuation of the bilateral dialogue following Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to the country in 2024.
Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, held a meeting with representatives of the Philippine Department of Defense.
The parties focused primarily on developing cooperation in the defense sector. In particular, the delegation was briefed on a potential agreement under the special “Drone Deal” framework.

As a reminder, on July 21, OSCE representatives visited the Podilsky district of Kyiv, where they inspected the aftermath of a massive Russian missile strike on July 6 that killed eight people.
Ukraine and Israel have begun preparations for the 85th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy. The Ukrainian side invited the Israeli delegation to participate in the commemorative events.
