Drapaty and Redis wear Casio watches worth up to 3,000 UAH
People online have taken notice of the watches worn by Mykhailo Drapatiy, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Denis “Redis” Prokopenko, commander of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov.” Both military officers chose Casio models, which can hardly be called luxury items.
Drapatiy was recently spotted wearing a Casio A168WA-1 digital watch. This model has a 38.6-mm case and was first released back in 1995. In Ukrainian stores, this watch costs about 3,000 hryvnias.

Prokopenko also wears a Casio, but a different model—the retro-style W-218HC-2AVEF with a blue rubber strap. It costs approximately 2,500–3,000 hryvnias.

The “Redisa” watch features LED backlighting and is water-resistant up to 50 meters. Social media users reacted positively to the military commanders’ choice, noting the practicality and affordability of such accessories.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatiy ordered the Military Law Enforcement Service to conduct an investigation into the 225th Separate Assault Regiment following a journalistic investigation by Texty.org.ua. The report addressed the possible use of so-called “barrier detachments,” as well as instances of beatings and torture of servicemembers.
The new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatiy, has suspended the dismissal of Shamil Krutkov, commander of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodny Yar.” Previously, a decision to remove him from office had been prepared based on the results of an internal investigation approved by the then-Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.
