The Bulgarian Prime Minister has arrived in Kyiv
On Monday, March 30, Andrey Gyurov, the interim head of the Bulgarian government, began an official visit to the Ukrainian capital.
The head of the Bulgarian cabinet arrived at the head of a high-level delegation to discuss strategic cooperation and support for Ukraine in repelling Russian aggression.
Gyurov’s itinerary includes a packed schedule of meetings with top government officials.
In particular, talks are scheduled with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, and Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk.
Key ministers of the interim government, formed in February 2026, arrived in Kyiv alongside the acting prime minister.
The delegation includes Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynski, Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov, as well as the heads of the ministries of energy, transport, and education.
The Bulgarian delegation’s visit comes as Bulgaria prepares for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for April.
Despite domestic political developments, Sofia remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic integration.
It is expected that during the talks, the parties will pay special attention to expanding military-technical assistance and strengthening energy resilience.
They will also discuss the involvement of Bulgarian experts in the restoration of Ukraine’s transport infrastructure, which was damaged as a result of hostilities.
As a reminder, an Israeli government minister has arrived in Ukraine on a visit.
Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset has also arrived in Ukraine.
