A Ukrainian man attempted to smuggle a military aircraft part into Hungary
Customs officials in Zakarpattia prevented the illegal export to Hungary of a spare part resembling a component of a military aircraft.
During an inspection of a minibus driven by a 44-year-old Ukrainian citizen, a pallet containing a technical device—an unmarked metal structure—was discovered in the cargo compartment.
According to customs officials, the object resembles an aircraft landing gear used in aviation technology. The driver did not have any permits to transport it across the border.
The State Customs Service noted that the detected violation bears the hallmarks of a crime under Article 333 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—violation of the procedure for international transfers of goods subject to state export control.
The Transcarpathian Customs Office has forwarded a report on the illegal act to law enforcement agencies.
