Thunderstorms, hail, and squalls: where bad weather is expected in Ukraine on June 10
Weather fronts are gradually moving away, but some regions of Ukraine will still experience some weather “surprises.” On June 10, the weather across the country will generally be warm, and even sunny in some areas. At the same time, forecasters warn of the possibility of dangerous weather phenomena—thunderstorms, squalls, and hail—in certain regions.
In which regions no precipitation is forecast
According to the forecast by specialists at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the weather throughout the day on June 10 will feature variable cloudiness.
At the same time, Ukraine will finally be “out of the path of atmospheric fronts.”
"Pressure will rise slightly, so we’ll get a break from the rain everywhere overnight," forecasters said.
Meanwhile, experts do not expect rain on Wednesday afternoon:
in the northern regions;
in most central regions.
"In the rest of the country, due to convection, there will be brief showers with thunderstorms," the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center stated.
Where and when the weather may be dangerous
It is reported that warm, moist air masses and light winds in most regions (except the western ones) will cause fog to form in some areas at night and in the morning.
Overall, winds on June 10 are expected to be variable, with speeds of 3–8 m/s.
At the same time, Ukrainians are also being warned about dangerous meteorological phenomena:
in the western (except Khmelnytskyi), southern, eastern, Kirovohrad, and Dnipropetrovsk regions—thunderstorms during the day;
in some areas—hail and squalls of 15–20 m/s.
"Level I danger, yellow," the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center emphasized.
It is noted that such weather conditions may complicate:
the operations of energy, construction, and utility companies;
traffic flow.
What to expect on June 10 in terms of air temperature
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the coming night is expected to be "moderately warm," with temperatures around +13...+18°C.
During the day, thanks to clearing skies, forecasters expect:
an average of +23...+28°C across Ukraine;
in Zakarpattia—up to +31°C.
What weather to expect in Kyiv and the region
On June 10, the weather across Kyiv and the Kyiv region is also expected to be partly cloudy. No precipitation.
At night and in the morning, there may be fog in some parts of the region.
Winds will be variable, with speeds of 3–8 m/s.
Air temperature tonight:
in Kyiv – around +16...+18°C;
in the region – around +13...+18°C.
Daytime air temperature:
in Kyiv +26...+28°C;
in the region +23...+28°C.
