Thunderstorms and strong winds: Weather forecast for July 6
On Monday, July 6, brief showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are expected in most regions of Ukraine. In Kyiv, daytime temperatures will range from 22 to 24°C, according to weather forecasters.
Cloud cover will be variable across Ukraine. Overnight, rain and thunderstorms are expected in the western and northern regions, as well as in the Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions; during the day, they are expected across most of the country, and throughout the northeast. Winds will be predominantly westerly, 7–12 m/s, with occasional gusts of 15–20 m/s in the northern part during the day. Temperatures at night will range from 11–16°, and 15–20° along the coast; during the day, 20–25°, and 24–29° in the south and southeast of the country.
On Monday, July 6, Kyiv will see variable cloudiness, with brief showers in some areas and thunderstorms in the Kyiv region. The wind will be westerly, 7–12 m/s, with occasional gusts of 15–20 m/s across the region during the day. Temperatures in the region will range from 11–16° at night to 20–25° during the day; in Kyiv, they will range from 13–15° at night to 22–24° during the day.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has issued a yellow alert (Level I) for the northeastern part of the country: thunderstorms are expected there on the afternoon of July 6, which may disrupt the operations of power companies.
Earlier, meteorologists provided a forecast for next week’s weather.
On Monday, July 6, variable cloudiness is forecast for most regions of the country, with thunderstorms expected in some areas. Precipitation is expected at night in the northern and western regions, as well as in the Cherkasy and Vinnytsia regions, and during the day, brief showers will occur in some areas throughout Ukraine; in the northeast, they will be widespread.
