Half of the planned shelters in Odesa have not been opened

In Odesa, the plan was to put 20 new shelters into operation by the end of June, but only 10 were completed.

According to Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, back in March, 100 million hryvnias were allocated from the city budget for the installation and equipping of another 20 protective structures. Despite this, work is currently underway at only ten sites.

Lysak criticized the work of the municipal agency “Protective Structures,” which is responsible for implementing the project, and called on city authorities to make the necessary personnel and organizational decisions.

In addition, he drew attention to delays in implementing the “e-Restoration” program for damaged cultural heritage sites and noted the city’s unsatisfactory sanitary conditions.

As a result of a massive Russian attack on the night of July 2, public transportation routes in Kyiv have been altered. This was caused by damage to the overhead power lines, a lack of electricity, and cleanup efforts following the enemy shelling.

At least 11 people were killed and more than 30 others were injured as a result of the massive Russian attack on Kyiv overnight. Rescue workers, police, and other emergency services continue to work at the sites of the strikes.
