The Main Intelligence Directorate has increased the number of troops on combat missions by one-third
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has increased by one-third the number of military personnel assigned to combat missions.
"Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the GUR’s resources and capabilities have grown, but so have the number of tasks—particularly those involving combat units. Recently, we have increased the number of personnel directly involved in combat missions by one-third. And it is precisely these GUR units that play a crucial role in containing the enemy, particularly in the Zaporizhzhia sector," said Ivashchenko.
Oleg Ivashchenko, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, made these remarks in an interview with Ukrinform.
Representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) were served with notices of suspicion in connection with the shooting in Kyiv.
Stepan Kaplunov, deputy commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps, stated that on August 23, he was allegedly abducted by SBU officers, who subjected him to physical and psychological pressure.
