Diesel fuel imports into Ukraine have risen to a record high

In March 2026, diesel fuel imports into Ukraine rose sharply, reaching their highest level in the past five years.

This was reported by the consulting group “A-95.”

According to analysts, import volumes totaled 577,000 tons—27% more than in February and 12% more than in March of last year.

The largest volumes of diesel fuel came from Poland—244,000 tons, Romania—154,000 tons, and Greece—119,000 tons.

At the same time, supplies in March were complicated by the situation in the Middle East, which affected the contracting of the resource. In particular, at the beginning of the month, the largest supplier, ORLEN, temporarily suspended shipments.

Analysts also note that the share of supplies from the south increased significantly—to 48% of total imports, whereas in February it stood at 27%.

The number of importers increased by 14 over the month, reaching 124 companies.

As a reminder, the European Commissioner for Energy has warned of possible fuel rationing in the EU.
