A woman from Kyiv has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for spying for Russia
The Dnipro District Court of the capital has sentenced a Kyiv resident who passed information to the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) regarding the deployment of Ukrainian Armed Forces units and strategic facilities. The traitor was sentenced to 15 years in prison with full confiscation of her property.
This was reported on April 2 by the Security Service of Ukraine.
The investigation established that throughout 2025, the woman systematically drove around Kyiv, covertly photographing and videotaping military facilities. She sent the coordinates she obtained to her handler via Telegram to prepare missile strikes and drone attacks on the capital. Law enforcement officers caught the woman “red-handed” while she was carrying out another mission, seizing a mobile phone containing evidence of correspondence with an operative of the Russian special services.
Until the verdict becomes final, the convicted woman will remain in custody without the right to bail. The court deemed the evidence gathered—including the archive of recorded materials and the geolocation of targets—sufficient to impose the maximum penalty under the article on high treason. This verdict marks another step in ridding the capital of enemy agents who were helping Russia coordinate attacks on the city’s civilian and military infrastructure. Currently, the SBU continues its efforts to identify other members of the spy network.
Earlier, the Counterintelligence Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine prevented a large-scale explosion in the center of Dnipro by apprehending a collaborator of the Russian special services “red-handed.”
As a reminder, a man was detained in Kyiv for promising “medical exemption” to evade mobilization.
Additionally, a Russian agent who was plotting the assassination of General Biletsky was detained within the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
