China and the United States have stated their readiness to help bring the war in Ukraine to an end
Following the meeting between Xi Jinping and Donald Trump, China and the United States announced their readiness to play a “constructive role” in the political resolution of the war in Ukraine.
This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
According to him, Beijing and Washington hope for the war to end as soon as possible, but acknowledge that there is no quick solution.
“Complex problems do not have simple solutions. Peace talks cannot be achieved overnight. Both China and the U.S. are ready to continue communication and play a constructive role in the political resolution of the war,” Wang Yi said.
Beijing also stated that it continues to work on facilitating peace talks regarding the situation in the Middle East.
Chinese leader Xi Jinping accepted an invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump and will make an official visit to the United States this fall.
