In Lviv, a man opened fire near a playground
In Lviv, patrol officers detained a man who fired shots near a playground and frightened the children.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Patrol Police.
The incident occurred on Hnat Hotkevych Street. A witness called law enforcement and reported a man with an object resembling a weapon.
According to her, the man fired several shots into the air while children were nearby.
Patrol units from the Tactical and Operational Response Company approached him from different directions, knocked the gun out of his hands, and detained him.
As determined by the investigative team, the 34-year-old man fired about ten shots. No one was injured as a result of the incident. It is likely that the weapon was an air gun, which was seized for examination.

The man was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He is charged with hooliganism under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which carries a sentence of up to seven years in prison. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
The day before, police identified and brought to justice a 57-year-old resident of Cherkasy who opened fire in the middle of the street.
Kyiv police have notified participants in the armed conflict in Podil of their status as suspects.
