The Ukrainian defense company Tencore, together with a partner, is developing its own electric motors for ground-based robotic systems (GRS), which are intended to serve as a more effective alternative to Chinese counterparts.
The company’s director, Maksym Vasylchenko, spoke about this in an interview with “Military.”
According to him, the motor has already passed laboratory tests and is currently being tested in the field.
“Our goal was not to copy, but to develop motors specifically for RVCs that would be more efficient than Chinese motors,” Vasylchenko noted.
He added that the company is already manufacturing additional prototypes for installation on other products prior to scaling up production.
At the same time, Tencore has also developed its own electronics for ground robots, including circuit boards, relays, and motor drivers, to reduce dependence on Chinese components.
Recently, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine certified and approved for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine three fiber-optic FPV systems manufactured by enterprises of JSC “Ukrainian Defense Industry.”
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved the Shablya MK19(M) remotely controlled combat module for use by the troops. It is equipped with a 40-mm MK19 automatic grenade launcher.
