In Rivne, patrol officers "neutralized" a swarm of bees on a car
In Rivne, patrol officers encountered an unusual situation: a swarm of bees had settled right on a parked car near a shopping center. Due to the potential danger to people, the officers quickly called a beekeeper. As a result, the insects were safely removed, and no one was injured, according to the Ukrainian Patrol Police.
A routine call near one of Rivne’s shopping centers unexpectedly turned into a small rescue operation when patrol officers discovered a swarm of bees on a parked Volkswagen, which had settled right on the car’s body and posed a risk to passersby who might accidentally get too close.
According to the Ukrainian Patrol Police, the car’s owner is currently abroad, and there was no access to the vehicle at the scene, so they had to act quickly and without delay to prevent any potential incidents in the crowded area. “A few days ago, we received a report about a Volkswagen parked near a shopping mall that had been taken over by… a swarm of bees,” the patrol officers said.
The police called a beekeeper, who arrived at the scene and carefully removed the swarm without harming either people or the insects, after which the situation was fully stabilized.
Ultimately, as the patrol police emphasized, the incident ended without any casualties, the threat to citizens was eliminated, and the car’s unusual “resident” was successfully relocated to a safe place.
In Zakarpattia, a court sentenced a former boarding school teacher to 10 years in prison for attempting to sell an 11-month-old boy under the guise of adoption. Along with the sentence, the man’s property was confiscated.
On May 14, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed in the first reading Bill No. 15167, which provides for the creation of a special fund for a military levy. According to the document, all proceeds from this levy will be used exclusively for the financial support of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.
