Yulia Mendel, who previously served as press secretary to the President of Ukraine, has been added to the “Myrotvorets” website’s lists.
This was prompted by the controversy surrounding her remarks during a conversation with American media personality Tucker Carlson.
According to information in the “Purgatory” section, Mendel is accused of actions that threaten the country’s national security.
The site’s moderators accuse her of participating in humanitarian aggression against Ukraine and spreading hostile propaganda.
A separate item on her profile notes the manipulation of socially significant information in the interests of the aggressor country.
The former official is also accused of calling for surrender to the Russian invaders and participating in the enemy’s information and psychological operations.
The main impetus for this decision was Mendel’s interview with Tucker Carlson, in which she voiced a number of controversial statements.
In particular, she claimed that Ukraine is allegedly “on the verge of disappearing” and suffers from “unhealthy nationalism.”
During the conversation, the former spokesperson claimed that during negotiations in 2022, the Ukrainian side was allegedly ready to give up territories in the Donbas. Such statements sparked outrage among the public and experts.
