Koretsky Outlined the Top Priorities for Preparing the Power Grid for Winter
Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi chaired a meeting of the Energy Task Force, during which participants discussed preparations for the energy system ahead of the fall and winter season.
The meeting was attended by the heads of Naftogaz, Ukrenergo, Energoatom, Ukrhydroenergo, Centrenergo, DTEK, and the Ukrainian Gas Transmission System Operator.
Participants reviewed projected electricity and gas balances under various winter scenarios and analyzed the pace of repair work at power generation facilities and the installation of additional security measures at energy facilities.
“We conducted a detailed analysis of the progress of repair work at generating facilities and the installation of additional protective measures.”
According to Koretsky, the priorities remain the protection of critical infrastructure and the building of reserves of fuel and equipment for the rapid restoration of damaged facilities. The government has also identified areas where work needs to be accelerated, given the intensity of Russian attacks.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the allocation of 6.2 billion hryvnias in subsidies from the state budget to local budgets for additional payments to teachers.
The Ministry of Education and Science has created a special online calculator that allows teachers to calculate their own salaries, taking into account the pay raises.
