Cat lemurs have returned to the summer islands at Kyiv Zoo
At the Kyiv Zoo, ring-tailed lemurs have once again been released onto the summer islands.
This was reported by local Telegram channels.
A space has been set up for the animals amidst green “oases” surrounded by water: a wooden house, feeding platforms, ropes, ladders, swings, and climbing structures. There are also plants and an artificial fountain that mimics a natural environment among trees and bushes.
This season, a special “fitness zone” was also created for the lemurs to encourage activity and active play.

Researchers from the American company Colossal Sciences plan to revive the woolly mammoth species, which went extinct about 4,000 years ago. The first mammoth could be born in 2028 after a 22-month gestation period.
Since the extinction of mammoths, their ecological niche in nature has remained unfilled, causing the permafrost to thaw and greenhouse gases to be released.
