In Zaporizhzhia, a woman was notified that she is under investigation for forging a will regarding property worth 7 million hryvnias

Police in Zaporizhzhia Oblast have charged a woman who, according to the investigation, forged a will for property worth over 7 million hryvnias that did not belong to her. The 38-year-old Kyiv resident arranged for the forgery of the document and attempted to transfer the estate of a deceased Berdyansk resident to her daughter. Thanks to the notary’s vigilance, the illegal transfer of the property was prevented.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

To carry out her criminal intent, the woman conspired with unidentified individuals and provided them with the child’s personal data to be included in the forged document. Subsequently, the accomplices produced a fictitious notarial document using the details and form from a blank that had actually been used back in 2021 to certify another legal transaction.

In July 2025, the perpetrator approached a private notary in Zaporizhzhia and submitted a forged will along with an application to accept the inheritance on behalf of her minor daughter, attempting to register ownership of the deceased’s real estate.

While reviewing the documents, the notary detected signs of forgery. Consequently, the notarial proceedings were halted, and the attempt to illegally seize the property was thwarted.
Recently, investigators notified the suspect of the charges against her.
