The Lviv Territorial Military Commissariat has launched an internal investigation into an altercation between a soldier and a woman
The Lviv Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support launched an internal investigation after a video was released showing a soldier grabbing a woman by the throat during a confrontation.
The footage, which went viral on social media, captures the incident during civil defense drills. Police officers and TCC representatives attempted to separate the woman and the man. During the altercation, the woman called for help, while the man insisted that she was his wife. Afterward, one of the Center’s representatives pinned the woman against a wall and grabbed her by the throat as his colleagues urged him to calm down.
The Lviv Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support and the Joint Staff noted that they are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident and conducting a legal assessment of the actions of those involved. Once the investigation is complete, the leadership will make a decision in accordance with applicable law. The military also urged the public and journalists to avoid jumping to conclusions until the official results of the investigation are announced.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the attack on military personnel at the Territorial Recruitment Center in Lviv. The head of state stated that such treatment of people in military uniform is unacceptable, and that all circumstances of the incident must be thoroughly investigated.
