The Ministry of Economy has stopped accepting grant applications for raspberry cultivation

As of June 22, the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine has officially stopped accepting new applications for state grants for raspberry cultivation.

Government officials made this decision because the area limit for planting this berry crop, as set for 2022–2027, has been fully exhausted.

The state program to support horticulture, berry farming, and viticulture has seen exceptionally high participation among Ukrainian farmers, who have fully utilized the allocated quotas.

According to published data from the official monitoring of approved projects, as of June 22, grant support for raspberry cultivation had been approved for a total area of 307.4 hectares.

This figure exceeded the government’s strict limit of 300 hectares.

In 2026 alone, the relevant ministry has approved eight applications for financial assistance to establish new raspberry plantations, with a total area of approximately 88 hectares.

The Ministry of Economy separately noted that the acceptance of applications for non-repayable grants for the cultivation of other fruit and berry crops and grapes is currently continuing as usual.

Ukrainian farmers still have the opportunity to secure government funding to develop their farms.

In particular, the largest available funding for new applications is currently reserved for such high-demand crops as gooseberries, red currants, blackberries, plums, and cherries.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
