In the Kiev region, a man hacked to death a snow bag with juice

In the Bucha District, law enforcement officers detained a 58-year-old man who, during a domestic dispute stemming from jealousy, struck his 64-year-old live-in partner multiple times with an axe, killing her. 

The incident occurred in the village of Muzychi at the couple’s temporary residence while they were drinking alcohol together. 

The investigation established that in the heat of the argument, the suspect grabbed an axe and struck the woman at least 13 times with the blade on her legs. As a result of multiple chop wounds, broken bones, and massive blood loss, the victim died at the scene before medical personnel arrived. Police detained the suspect in accordance with legal procedures and placed him in a temporary detention facility. 

Under the procedural guidance of the Bucha District Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect was charged with intentional murder under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court has already considered the investigators’ motion and ordered the suspect to be held in custody; he now faces up to 15 years in prison.

Official information about the criminal offense was released by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv Oblast. 

In Kryvyi Rih, police uncovered an international fraud scheme in which the participants posed as representatives of a major metallurgical giant and defrauded foreign companies of nearly 7 million hryvnias. The perpetrators entered into fictitious contracts for the supply of metallurgical products and embezzled the funds received.
