The Ministry of Finance has released data on salaries at government agencies with the highest pay
The Ministry of Finance has released updated data on salaries in government agencies for March 2026, and the gap between central agencies and regional ones remains significant. The highest average salaries are recorded at the Antimonopoly Committee, while the total number of civil servants is gradually decreasing. This is stated in a report by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
In March 2026, the average gross salary of employees in central executive bodies in Ukraine was 58,640 UAH, while at the regional level, this figure was significantly lower at 35,800 UAH. The Ministry of Finance released these figures, providing an overview of compensation in the public sector.
The highest average salaries among state agencies are paid by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. The Ministry of Finance clarifies that the calculations include not only base pay but also one-time payments—compensation for unused vacation time, financial assistance for social and living expenses, severance pay upon termination, and other payments provided for by law.

In total, 165,400 government employees received salaries in March—approximately 2,200 fewer than during the same period last year. Of these, 108,000 work in central executive bodies, 23,200 in local state administrations, and another 34,200 in judicial bodies.
The Ministry of Finance notes that the structure of payments and the number of employees in the public sector remain dynamic, and the difference between levels of government is explained by both functional workload and the system of allowances and bonuses.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs held expert consultations on the law regarding civilian firearms. During the discussion, key issues to be addressed by the future law were identified.
