The defense minister stated that without Poland, arms deliveries to Ukraine would be impossible

The transfer of military equipment to Ukraine would not be possible without Poland’s key role. The defense minister made this statement, emphasizing the country’s vital importance in logistics and the provision of military aid.

He also noted that Poland has been granted special status within NATO, which further strengthens its role in coordinating and transporting weapons to Ukraine.

“Our country is one of four NATO nations—in addition to Poland, namely Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands—that have been granted status in Ankara as countries to which technologies related to the production and maintenance of Patriot missiles may be transferred,” he said.

The Polish minister noted that Poland is one of the countries designated by the U.S. for this production and maintenance, so Warsaw will cooperate with Kyiv on this issue.

When asked when missile production in Ukraine might begin, Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that it would take several weeks.

“This is no easy task, given that only the United States manufactures Patriot missiles on such a scale that even the U.S. cannot ensure their protection, so this needs to be done very quickly. We are fully committed. Poland is ready to immediately begin operations and carry out further activities,” he emphasized.

This was stated by Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, as reported by PAP.

Nearly half of Poles consider military aid to Ukraine excessive.

As a reminder, there was outrage in Poland over the allegedly secret transfer of scarce Patriot missiles to Ukraine.

The day before, Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that, following consultations with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, he had ordered the declassification of information regarding all Polish military deliveries to Ukraine from 2022 to 2026. He also ordered the Military Counterintelligence Service to identify those involved in the possible disclosure of state secrets.
