A 15-year-old boy was killed on the Kyiv–Odesa highway
A serious accident involving a shuttle minibus and a truck occurred on the Kyiv–Odesa highway. According to updated reports, a 15-year-old boy was killed, and 13 other people were injured. Some of the victims are in critical condition.
This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration. According to him, the traffic accident occurred near the village of Odaï in the Shyryaivska community of the Berezivskyi district on the E95 Kyiv–Odesa highway.
According to updated information, a 15-year-old boy was killed in the collision. Another 13 people were injured. “According to updated information, a 15-year-old boy was killed and another 13 people were injured as a result of the traffic accident on a section of the Kyiv–Odesa highway near the village of Odaï,” Oleg Kipper said.
Twelve of the injured were taken to hospitals. Medical personnel treated one other victim at the scene without hospitalization. According to the head of the Regional State Administration, three of those hospitalized are in serious condition. Doctors assess nine other people as having moderate injuries. All of the injured are receiving the necessary medical care.
Preliminary reports indicate that the accident involved a MAN truck and a Mercedes minibus. At the time of the collision, there were 15 passengers and the driver inside the minibus. Law enforcement officials are currently investigating all the circumstances and causes of the accident. Investigators and specialized services are working at the scene of the accident.
