A bridge collapsed in Bukovina while children were on a field trip; some have been hospitalized
In the village of Vyzhenka in the Chernivtsi region, a group of children stepped onto a wooden bridge at the same time, causing the structure to collapse under the excessive weight.
During the incident, several minors sustained injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized.
This accident occurred during an organized tourist excursion in the Vyzhnytsia territorial community. According to local rescue workers, several children sustained injuries of varying severity after the bridge collapsed.
All the victims were promptly transported to the nearest medical facility, where they are currently under medical supervision and receiving necessary care.
The agency’s press service clarified that rescue workers were not directly deployed to the scene, as the cleanup did not require specialized equipment.
Following the incident, experts once again reminded citizens of the need to strictly adhere to safety rules during leisure activities, walks, and excursions.
Tour group leaders and parents were advised to choose travel routes more carefully.
In particular, representatives of the State Emergency Service urged people not to place excessive loads on bridges and other engineering structures.
They advise always paying attention to warning signs, not congregating in one place, and strictly following the instructions of accompanying personnel.
Special attention should be paid to the behavior of teenagers near bodies of water and hazardous sites.
