In the Chernihiv region, a man has been charged with the sexual exploitation of a 7-year-old girl
In the Chernihiv region, a 52-year-old man was notified that he is suspected of sexually exploiting a 7-year-old girl. According to the investigation, in 2024, following a prior agreement with the child’s mother, he received the girl for the purpose of committing unlawful acts.
The woman who handed over her young daughter for this purpose had previously been charged. The investigation is ongoing.
Two incidents of sexual acts committed against the child have been documented. In one instance, the man, along with the mother and the girl, went to the woods, where the minor was forced to engage in sexual acts.
On another occasion, the mother handed her daughter over to him in exchange for food. Afterward, the man took the child to a lake, where he sexually assaulted her.
The man is charged with trafficking a minor for the purpose of exploitation, as well as repeatedly committing sexual acts against a child under the age of 14. He is currently in custody.
The girl’s 33-year-old mother is also in custody. She is under investigation for child trafficking, sexual abuse, and the production of child pornography. Her three children have been removed from her care and placed with a foster family.
In addition, in a separate criminal case this past June, the suspect was already sentenced to 15 years in prison for the rape of another child. The prosecutor is appealing the sentence and is seeking a life sentence.
