In the Chernihiv region, a nurse was fined for promising to influence the decision of the Medical Examination Commission
The Pryluky City and District Court in Chernihiv Oblast found a nurse at one of the city’s hospitals guilty of abuse of influence.
According to the court, she promised a man subject to military conscription that, for 1,500 hryvnias, she would help influence the decision of the military medical commission regarding his fitness for service.
According to the case file, the nurse arranged a meeting between the man and the chair of the military medical commission and informed him that 1,500 UAH was required to influence the commission’s decision. The next day, the conscript, who was acting under the supervision of law enforcement officers, handed her the money. Afterward, the woman accompanied him into the chairman’s office and slipped 500 UAH into the pocket of his medical coat, asking him to rule in the man’s favor.
During the trial, the defendant initially partially denied her guilt, but after the evidence was examined, she fully admitted it, expressed remorse, and asked that a lenient sentence be imposed.
The court found the woman guilty under Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and imposed a fine of 34,000 UAH on her.

As a reminder, law enforcement officials in the Odesa region uncovered the organizer of an illegal scheme to smuggle men subject to military service abroad. According to police, 147 men were being smuggled out of the country under the guise of sailors.
The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police uncovered nine new schemes to evade mobilization in various regions of the country. As part of special operations, 23 organizers of these schemes were detained; for a fee, they helped men subject to military service avoid conscription or illegally leave the country.
