In Donetsk Oblast, a drug dealer was sentenced to nine years in prison

A court has convicted a resident of Donetsk Oblast who was involved in the large-scale sale of prohibited psychotropic substances via the internet.

For the illegal acquisition, possession, and distribution of psychotropic substances on a particularly large scale, the man was sentenced to 9 years in prison with full confiscation of all his property.

The decision was made based on irrefutable evidence gathered and fully proven in court by prosecutors from the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Law enforcement officials established that the offender began his criminal activities in April 2024.

Through the Telegram messenger app, he regularly purchased wholesale shipments of dangerous psychotropic substances, including PVP salts and the mephedrone 4-MMC.

The defendant brought the goods to his parents’ apartment, where he set up a packaging station. There, he packaged the psychotropic substances into special zip-top bags and cloth pouches for subsequent retail sale.

The defendant organized the sale of the prohibited substances through his own specialized Telegram channel.

Customers transferred money to his bank card, and after payment was confirmed, the suspect sent buyers detailed coordinates and photos of the hiding places.

According to available data, the cost of one gram of such substances on the “black market” was 800 hryvnias.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
