Zelenskyy Warns of a Difficult Winter Due to Russian Attacks on the Energy Sector — Sky News
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the upcoming heating season could be difficult for Ukraine due to ongoing Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. According to him, one of the main challenges remains protecting the power grid and ensuring a stable winter amid the war.
Commenting on personnel changes, he noted that the change in the head of government is primarily related to preparations for winter.
“First and foremost, we had to prepare for a very difficult winter, and no one can even imagine what this winter will be like. Of course, it could be difficult or even worse. It will depend on our partners and on us,” the head of state clarified.
As Zelenskyy noted, he needed someone in the role of prime minister who could focus on the energy sector and clearly understand the future risks facing the country.
“I really needed a prime minister who… knows what we’re going to face. And we’ve done that,” Zelenskyy assured in an interview with Sky News.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy has spoken of a critical shortage of missiles for Ukraine’s air defense.
