Six people will stand trial in Donetsk Oblast for passing on the coordinates of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Air Defense Forces
Six residents of Donetsk Oblast are charged with treason.
According to the investigation, they provided Russian military personnel with at least 82 coordinates of Ukrainian Defense Forces positions, air defense systems, and civilian infrastructure facilities. All suspects are in custody.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
The suspects are residents of Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and the village of Malotaranivka.
Between February and November 2025, they established contact via Telegram with representatives of the aggressor state and systematically transmitted data on the situation in frontline areas.
The accused gathered information on the locations of Ukrainian troops, military equipment, ammunition depots, fortifications, as well as artillery positions, air defense systems, and checkpoints. They also transmitted data on hospitals, educational institutions, and other civilian facilities.
They not only sent their own observations but also carried out tasks assigned by their handlers—verifying coordinates, confirming the presence of units and equipment, and reporting on the movements of law enforcement officers. The information was transmitted via text, voice messages, photos, and geolocation data.
The transmission of 82 locations with detailed descriptions, which could have been used to adjust strikes, has been documented. The illegal activity was uncovered in January–February 2026. Currently, all defendants are in custody.
They are charged with treason committed under martial law.
In Dnipro and Odesa, Russian agents who were setting fires in the cities were exposed.
Prior to this, the Security Service of Ukraine prevented a terrorist attack in the capital and detained an FSB agent who was planning to blow up one of the leaders of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine prevented another terrorist attack in Kharkiv by detaining a married couple of Russian agents who were preparing an explosion in the city center.
As a reminder, the SBU detained a coordinator of Russian strikes on Chernivtsi.
