In the Kharkiv region, a student from China was fined for attempting to send an aviation sensor to China
The Kharkiv District Court found a Chinese citizen guilty of attempting to ship a gas-capsule temperature sensor for aircraft—a product subject to state export controls—to her home country. This is stated in the court’s verdict dated July 23, 2026.
According to the case file, in June 2025, the student arranged with an acquaintance to ship a gas-capsule temperature sensor—used in aviation equipment—to China.
The court’s ruling notes that this product may be classified as military or dual-use goods, and its international transfer requires compliance with state export control requirements.
The woman sent the package from a post office branch in the village of Pisochyn, Kharkiv Oblast. During a customs inspection at the “Dnistrovsky” checkpoint in Odesa Oblast, the temperature sensor was discovered and seized.
The court found the Chinese citizen guilty of an illegal attempt to send goods subject to state export controls abroad and imposed a fine of 51,000 hryvnias on her.
