Video: In the Kharkiv region, the SBU detained a Russian agent who had registered 27 Starlink devices
In the Kharkiv region, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed and detained a Russian agent who was assisting the occupiers with the registration of Starlink terminals. According to the investigation, he registered at least 27 satellite communication terminals for representatives of the Russian Federation.
Details
It is known that the man registered 27 satellite communication terminals in the frontline town of Izyum.
“The Russian agents hoped to use these devices to coordinate assault units and drone strikes in the Kharkiv region. SBU officers thwarted the enemy’s plans and detained the agent at his residence in the district center,” the statement reads.
Who was working for the enemy?
The task assigned by the Russians was carried out by an unemployed displaced person from the temporarily occupied city of Khrustalny (formerly Krasnyi Luch) in the Luhansk region.
He came to the attention of Russian intelligence services after moving to Izyum while searching for “easy” money on Instagram.
"In exchange for money, he first registered a Starlink station in his name and provided the relevant details to his handler, who was located in the temporarily occupied part of eastern Ukraine.
Later, the Russian intelligence officer instructed the agent to verify additional satellite equipment. To do this, the suspect enlisted the help of local residents.
"It was also established that the agent was supposed to track the coordinates of the Defense Forces, which the Russians were using to plan shelling," the Security Service reported.
The man had planned to “evacuate” to the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, but the SBU thwarted the enemy’s plans.
A smartphone containing evidence of his collaboration with Russia was seized from the detainee.

He has been notified of his status as a suspect in a treason case and is currently in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
