In the Bilohirsk community in the Khmelnytskyi region, a 16-year-old teenager stole 165,000 hryvnias from the bank accounts of the wife of a soldier who is missing in action.

The victim asked a neighbor’s son to help her set up a mobile app to receive government benefits. While setting up the app, the minor learned the PIN code and gained access to the woman’s accounts, after which he secretly transferred funds in small amounts to his own cards for nearly a year and spent them as he saw fit.

Investigators charged the minor with unauthorized interference with information systems and theft committed under martial law. This was reported by the Khmelnytskyi Regional Police.

Previously, the police exposed fraudsters who were swindling money under the pretext of government payments.
