A program to support veterans and communities will be launched in the Kirovohrad region

A program titled “Support for Veterans and Communities Affected by the War in Ukraine” will soon begin in the Kirovohrad region. The project was presented by representatives of the Ukrainian Red Cross and the Danish Red Cross.

The program aims to provide assistance to veterans, their families, and communities affected by the war. Implementation of the initiative in the region is scheduled to begin in the near future.

In particular, the program includes a competition for veterans’ social initiatives. Participants will be able to present their ideas, secure funding, and implement them in their communities. The plan is to support ten such projects annually in the Kirovohrad region.

Participants will also be able to join a program to develop veteran social entrepreneurship. It includes a three-month training course on developing business plans, after which the best projects will receive grants to start or grow their own businesses. Preference will be given to innovative business ideas with a social impact.

In addition to financial support, program participants will receive individual mentoring to help them effectively implement their social projects and business ideas.

Veterans and their family members will be able to apply for the program as early as September.

“The program aims to support veterans and their family members, in particular through the development of their own businesses, the implementation of social initiatives, training, mentoring, and other opportunities to strengthen economic capacity and social cohesion,” the UCH announced on Facebook on Thursday.

In Ukraine, veterans can receive up to 95,000 hryvnias for resettlement.

As a reminder, the government has expanded housing rental compensation for veterans: who is eligible and how much they can receive.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted, in the second reading and as a whole, draft law No. 12295-d, which provides for compensation of the costs of mandatory civil liability insurance for owners of land vehicles (OSCPV) for certain categories of the population.
