In the Kyiv region, teenagers threw a bag of water onto a stroller carrying an infant
In the Vasylkiv community of the Obukhiv district, two 14-year-old teenagers, following a popular trend on social media, threw bags of water from the seventh floor of a high-rise building. One of the bags struck a stroller carrying a three-month-old infant. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the incident and determining legal liability.
The incident occurred on July 28. The child’s father contacted the police. Law enforcement officers and medical personnel arrived at the scene. Doctors examined the infant and, together with the mother, took him to the hospital for a thorough examination.
Police determined that the teenagers were visiting an acquaintance. After watching videos online, they filled two plastic bags with water and threw them out of a seventh-floor window. One of the bags struck a stroller carrying the infant.
In connection with this incident, law enforcement officers filed administrative reports against the mothers of the two 14-year-old boys for failure to fulfill parental responsibilities regarding the upbringing of their children (Part 3 of Article 184 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The case files have been forwarded to the court for a ruling, according to the Kyiv Regional Police.
As a reminder, the National Police concluded the nationwide special operation “Gentlemen-2026,” during which law enforcement officers conducted 435 searches in 23 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv, dismantled 12 underground drug laboratories, and detained 34 individuals.
