A scheme involving the illegal appropriation of more than 60 hectares of land has been uncovered in the Kyiv region
Police have apprehended an organized group that used forged documents to register state-owned land plots in the names of fictitious individuals for subsequent sale, causing significant financial losses to the state.
The National Police of Ukraine reported this on the afternoon of May 4.
Using forged documents, the criminals carried out land fraud schemes.
The organizer of the scheme is a 47-year-old resident of the town of Stavyche. He and his accomplices submitted forged documents regarding land ownership rights to the State Land Cadastre and re-registered the plots under fictitious individuals for the purpose of subsequent sale.
The criminals managed to fraudulently acquire land plots totaling over 60 hectares, causing losses to the state.



Operatives from the DKR and investigators from the Main Investigation Department of the National Police, with the support of police special forces, conducted nearly 30 authorized searches at the residences of the organized group’s members.
Law enforcement officers gathered evidence of the organized group’s criminal activities and notified the suspects of the charges against them.

The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) announcednew charges against a former official from Mykolaiv.
As a reminder, the SBI detained military personnel for embezzling over 47 million hryvnias involving FPV drones.
The SBI also detained an officer of the Kyiv Territorial Military Commissariat for torturing conscripts.
