A mandatory evacuation has been ordered for 12 border villages in the Chernihiv region

At the request of the military command, the Chernihiv Regional Defense Council decided to implement a mandatory evacuation of residents from twelve border villages starting July 1. This was reported by Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration.

The villages affected by the security measures include Prybyn, Shyshkovka, and Rudnya in the Koryukivka community; Lemeshivka and Moshchenka in the Horodnya community; Vorobiivka, Kamin, Kam’yanska Sloboda, Karabany, and Chaikine in the Novhorod-Siverskyi community, as well as Gazoprovidne and Oleksandrivka in the Semenivska community

At the same time, authorities continued evacuation efforts in seven villages in the Snovsk, Horodnya, Novhorod-Siverskyi, and Semeniv communities, where evacuation orders had been issued back in the winter. According to information from the district military administrations, approximately 1,000 residents, including 120 children, currently live in these settlements. The relevant agencies have already approved evacuation routes, secured transportation, and prepared locations for the free temporary relocation of residents. The evacuation of the civilian population is expected to be fully completed within two months.

Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the regional military administration, announced this on Facebook.

In the Synelnykivskyi District of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the forced evacuation of families with children from 23 more settlements began on June 17. The decision was made by the local regional military administration due to the deteriorating security situation in the region.

A 90-year-old woman was evacuated from a village near the front line following constant shelling.
