Denmark will provide Ukraine with 15,000 long-range shells
The Danish government has decided to promptly adjust the structure of its defense aid and provide the Ukrainian Defense Forces with an additional 15,000 long-range artillery rounds. This was announced by Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
The minister noted that the Ukrainian side proposed to its partners that they reallocate part of the previously planned financial resources from the purchase of short-range shells to long-range solutions, which are currently critically important on the front lines. Copenhagen quickly agreed to this request, and the first batch of these scarce munitions has already arrived in Ukraine.
Fedorov emphasized that the use of such long-range weapons, given the expanding range of enemy drones, allows for safer and more effective destruction of the Russian occupiers’ logistics, warehouses, and command posts deep behind enemy lines. He expressed gratitude to Denmark for its high level of trust and flexibility in adapting military supplies to the real and urgent needs of the Ukrainian army.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on Facebook.
The number of countries funding the Czech initiative to supply ammunition to Ukraine has nearly halved, which is already beginning to affect the program’s stability.
Ukraine and Norway will jointly produce the most scarce types of ammunition.
