The former head of one of the district tax control centers and joint-stock companies in the Lviv region has been notified of suspicion of intentionally declaring false information. According to the investigation, the total amount of discrepancies in the official’s 2024 declaration exceeded 4.5 million hryvnias.
According to the investigation, the 45-year-old former head of the district tax and customs office failed to disclose his wife’s property rights to an unfinished construction project—a 40.8-square-meter apartment in Lviv—in his 2024 declaration.
The value of this property was nearly 2 million hryvnias.
In addition, law enforcement officials identified significant discrepancies between the couple’s declared cash savings and their income, which could be substantiated by documentation.
The former official reported over 2.5 million UAH in personal cash savings on his declaration.
At the same time, according to the investigation, he could have accumulated no more than 684,000 UAH from confirmed sources of income.
Thus, the difference between the declared and verified amounts totaled more than 1.8 million hryvnias.
An additional $40,000 and 376,000 hryvnias in cash were listed in his wife’s declaration.
Based on the available data, her income would have allowed her to accumulate no more than 1.2 million hryvnias, while the discrepancy amounted to 840,600 hryvnias.
According to the investigation, the total amount of inaccurate information in the declaration exceeded 4.5 million hryvnias.
This figure exceeds 750 subsistence minimums for able-bodied individuals, which constitutes a qualifying element of a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
