Summer-like temperatures of up to 29° will persist in Ukraine
On Thursday, September 10, Ukraine will be mostly dry and warm. Daytime temperatures will rise to 24–29°, although it will be cooler in the west, with brief showers and thunderstorms in some areas.
According to the forecast by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, variable cloud cover is expected across Ukraine on September 10. No precipitation is forecast in most regions, so the day will be mostly dry. The highest temperatures are expected during the day, with air warming up to 24–29°.
It will be warmer in the central, southern, and eastern regions. There, temperatures will approach 29° in some places. It will be significantly cooler at night. Most regions are expected to see temperatures of 11–16°, while in the east, temperatures will drop to 5–10°.
Rain and thunderstorms are possible in the west
Different weather is expected in the western regions. There, short-lived showers will occur in some areas during the day, and thunderstorms are possible in places. Precipitation is also forecast for the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions. As a result, temperatures in the west will be lower—only 18–23° during the day.
Winds will also pick up in these regions. They will be predominantly southwesterly, with speeds of 5–10 m/s. During the day, gusts of up to 15–20 m/s are possible in some areas. Therefore, residents of the western regions should be prepared not only for possible rain but also for stronger gusts of wind.
What will the weather be like in Kyiv?
In Kyiv and the surrounding region, partly cloudy skies are expected on September 10, but no precipitation is forecast. In the capital, the wind will be from the southwest at 5–10 m/s. Overnight temperatures will be around 15°, and during the day, the air will warm up to 25–27°.
In the Kyiv region, temperatures are forecast to be 11–16° at night and 24–29° during the day. Thus, Thursday in the capital will be warm and mostly dry. Meteorologists do not forecast any significant precipitation.
What to Expect in General
The weather on September 10 will remain quite warm for early fall. Most regions will see no precipitation, with daytime temperatures ranging from 24–29°. However, western Ukraine will be an exception. Rain, thunderstorms in some areas, and strong gusts of wind are expected there, and temperatures will be lower.
Overall, the day promises to be warm, but the weather will vary noticeably across different parts of the country. In the east, the autumn chill will already be felt at night, while during the day, much of Ukraine will still remain summer-like and warm.
