In the Odesa region, the State Bureau of Investigation uncovered a scheme involving subsidies for nonexistent animals
Employees of the State Bureau of Investigations uncovered a large-scale scheme in the Odesa region involving the illegal receipt of government subsidies for the care of livestock. The participants in the scheme included data on nearly 2,000 animals in the documents—animals that did not actually exist.
Under this scheme, the perpetrators planned to obtain nearly 4 million hryvnias from the budget. The SBI continues to uncover cases of embezzlement of funds allocated under state support programs.
According to the investigation, three employees of agencies responsible for animal accounting and registration in the Odesa region were involved in the scheme. They had access to the relevant registries and used their official positions to create fictitious livestock records.

Ukrainian law enforcement is investigating the possible involvement of Gleb Novostroyny, a veteran of the KRAKEN unit, in the murder of Igor Komarov in Indonesia.
