A grain warehouse collapsed in the Odesa region; a woman died
A grain warehouse collapsed in Reni, in the Odesa region. Two women were trapped under the rubble. One of them died; the other was rescued.
The collapse occurred around 11:30 a.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, rescuers found that building structures containing grain had collapsed over an area of 150 square meters. The cause of the collapse is currently unknown.
Photos from the scene show that the building collapsed and the grain spilled out. Rescuers and civilians worked together to pull the victims from under the rubble.
Two women—born in 1977 and 1986—were found under the rubble. The victims were rescued and handed over to medical personnel. The 40-year-old woman died in the hospital from her injuries.
Fifteen rescue workers and five pieces of specialized equipment were deployed to respond to the incident. Police officers and an emergency medical team were also on the scene.
Police reported that the injured women were employees of the company and were at their workplace at the time. The incident was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 272 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—“violation of safety rules while performing high-risk work.” The penalty provides for imprisonment for a term of five to eight years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.

Earlier, warehouses caught fire in Akulovo, near Moscow.
As a reminder, Ukrainian Armed Forces drones flew as far as the Arkhangelsk region—located approximately 1,900 km from the border with Ukraine—for the first time. Their target may have been the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Russia’s only active military spaceport.
