In the Carpathian region, the body of a man who had gone missing three days earlier was recovered from the Dniester River

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, rescue workers have concluded their search for a 24-year-old man who went missing while attempting to swim across the Dniester River. 

His body was found and recovered near the village of Odaï.

The search and rescue operation involved 21 rescuers, six pieces of equipment, a drone, as well as divers from Lviv Oblast, rescuers from Ternopil Oblast, and police officers.

Law enforcement officials are investigating the cause of the man’s death.

A mass fish kill was discovered in the Khadzhibey Estuary in Odesa Oblast. The die-off was recorded on July 13 near the village of Male, Dachne Village Council, and the village of Berehove, Usativ Village Council, in Odesa District. To determine the exact causes, experts collected water samples and sent them for laboratory analysis.

In just one day, five people died in Ukraine’s water bodies. The tragic incidents occurred in the Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions, as well as in Kyiv. The State Emergency Service emphasizes that the statistics continue to rise. Since the beginning of July, the water has claimed 63 lives, and 400 since the start of the year; children are among the victims.
